The Cottage

We spent last weekend at Nana and Grandpop's house (The Cottage) in Maryland.  This weekend was extra special because Grandma Salisbury, Uncle Dean, and Aunt Alice drove down from Butler, PA.  And Great Aunt Byrl and Cousin Beth drove up from North Carolina.  Theresa, Andrew and AJ were there too.
We were very excited for Emma to meet her Great Grandma Salisbury.  Uncle Dean took lots of great pics.  Unfortunately, I only have a few of them.  As soon as I get the rest I will post them.

Uncle Dean is quite the photographer.  Aren't these pictures great?!

Do I look like my Daddy or what?

At the Park with Mommy

Emma and I spent the afternoon at Lincoln Park, which is just a few blocks from our house.  I am so happy that we live in such a beautiful neighborhood with lots of parks that are in walking distance.  Emma really enjoyed watching all the kids and dogs.

Playdate with Elsa

Emma had a playdate with Elsa last week.  Kenna and I took the girls to Eastern Market where we had lunch.  Thanks for coming over Elsa!

birthdays, showers, and Grammy Sue

Last weekend was very busy for us.  We had 2 birthday parties on Saturday, and I had a baby shower on Sunday.  Luckily, Grammy Sue came to town to help babysit.  Thanks Grammy!

Here is Emma at her very first birthday party.  Ronan ( a friend's son) who lives down the street, just turned 5 years old.  The party was a lot of fun, and I think I got a glimpse into our future.  Long gone are Saturdays watching football and drinking beer.  We now go to little kids birthday parties.  OMG!  We are parents!

So cute!

There was a magician with a rabbit!

Playing with Grammy Sue after the party
While Grammy babysat, Mommy and Daddy went to our friend Ryan's surprise birthday party.  This was the first time we've been out with friends since Emma was born.  We had the best time.

Sucking our thumb

I've noticed that Emma is beginning to suck her thumb.  At first, she tried sticking her entire fist in her mouth, but she has now discovered that her thumb works much better.

3 Months Old

Why is my baby growing up so fast?!  Where is the time going?  I really can't believe my sweet Emma is now three months old.  Most women go back to work after three months, but lucky for me I was able to extend my maternity leave until the end of June.  I am so happy I get another three months at home with Emma.   Mommy is not ready to leave her baby!

Emma has changed so much this month.  She is now starting to roll over, laugh out loud, and even talk a little bit...at least in her own baby way.  We are very close to sleeping through the night....fingers crossed.  Mommy and Daddy can't wait for this particular milestone.  Emma started sucking her thumb a week ago, which has kept her entertained.  She was one busy girl this month.  She took her first flight to Greenville, SC.  She had her first yoga class.  And she made some new friends (Henry and Jack).

Now that Emma is three months, we are planning to sign her up for swim lessons.  Stay tuned!

Emma was more interested in playing with her bear than posing for Mommy.

Precious!
Emma did not have a doctors appointment this month, so I don't have her statistics.  I will provide an update after her four month checkup.
