Last week I noticed that one of Emma's eyes looked really red.  To be on the safe side, I decided to take her to the doctor to have it checked out.  It turned out to be nothing.  They said that she probably scratched it, and that it would heal on its own.  Thank goodness!

Emma had fun playing with the paper while we waited for the doctor to come in.

6 Months Old

Our sweet Emma is now 6 months old.  It seems like she's a different baby these days, and every day it seems like she does something new.  She sits up on her own and can even walk if we hold her hands.  Her personality is really beginning to show itself - she's a happy baby who likes to give hugs and kisses.  She likes pears and squash (even if most of it ends up on her face, bib, hair, and/or the wall, her parents, and everywhere else), and she hates peas.  She can now sit up on her own.  She's a joy and we love her dearly.

Her 6 month checkup went well.  She has moved up to the 25th percentile in weight for her age, weighing in at 14 lbs, 7 ounces (and as of today she's up to 15 lbs, 3 ounces).  Her height is 25 1/4 inches (25% percentile).  Her next appointment will be at 9 months.

Thank you Great Aunt Roonie for both of these precious outfits.  What a cutie pie!

Hi Mommy!

How cute is this outfit?!

NO more peas please!

We fed Emma her first green vegetable last night.  She is not a fan of peas!!!

Another photoshoot in the park

I am beginning to think that Emma loves having her picture taken.  : )

Emma and June

Emma has a new friend and her name is June.  June's mommy is Stephanie (one of my good friends) who lives a few blocks from us.  I am so happy they live so close.  That means lots of playdates.

Dr. Emma

It looks like Emma is taking after her Aunt Lauren.  She recently had her 6 month checkup.  Here she is assisting Nurse Practitioner Melissa Goldblatt.  I think she appreciated Emma's help.

Home Depot

I've been meaning to post Emma's 6 month update, but I still need to take her picture with her bear and sign.  It's on my "to do" list for this weekend, so stay tuned.  In the mean time, you can enjoy these pictures we took of Emma at Home Depot last weekend.  To celebrate her 6 month birthday, we took her to 6 different stores.  While Emma seemed indifferent to Target (both of them) and Babies R Us, and then threw up at Crate and Barrel (luckily not on any furniture), she seemed to really enjoy Home Depot.  Look how much fun she's having!

Can you guess what I'm eating?

Emma has now tried carrots, squash, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes.  I couldn't resist taking a few shots of her after she ate.  How adorable is this little piggy?

If you guessed sweet potatoes, you are right!  Emma loved it.  : )
