Natalie, Lauren and I went to NYC a couple weeks ago for Rory's surprise 30th birthday party. Rory picked us up at the train station and took us to Lluzo's, which has to have some of the best pizza in the city (and he picked up the tab (seriously)). The next day we went to the MOMA, walked through Central Park and ate at Carnegie Deli, a New York institution (check out the size of the sandwiches). It wasn't just Natalie eating for two that day.
Saturday night was Rory's surprise party. He thought he was doing a gig with a few other comics, but Jordan planned for his friends to surprise him at a bar on the Lower East Side. We intended to go out to dinner with Rory while Jordan and his friends gathered to surprise him, but we were still full from the copious amount of deli meat we ate for lunch. So we scratched dinner and had some drinks a few blocks from the faux-gig/party. Rory was surprised and the party was a lot of fun. We had red velvet cake, Rory's favorite, and the non-pregant people had some cocktails.
Sunday was lunch at the Meatball Shop (homemade meatballs; homemade ice cream) which was last of our fantastic eating experiences. We took the train back that afternoon. We had a great weekend.
