Light The Night

Dear Family and Friends,

I am once again participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk on October 19th in DC, and I would like to ask for your support.

As you know this cause is very important to me.  My husband, Chris, was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), which was discovered during a routine check-up in March 2012.  Chris’s diagnosis is the reason I first became involved with Light The Night, but this is not the first time blood cancer has affected my family.  In 1981 my mother lost her battle with Hodgkin’s disease.  Advances in treatment have helped to give people with Hodgkin’s disease the chance for a full recovery.  It is only a matter of time before we can say the same about CLL.  Promising (non-chemotherapy) treatments for CLL are in the process of being approved, and the medical research community agrees that a cure may be only a few years away.  With your support, we can find and advance better treatments and cures and make a difference in the lives of thousands of patients battling blood cancer.

Last year my team (Team Salisbury) raised over $3,200.  This year our goal is $5,000 and I know that, with your help, we can do it!  If you’re able to I hope that you’ll consider walking with us on October 19th. By joining our team and raising funds for this important cause, you'll be making a real impact on the fight against cancer.

Please join our team’s efforts today by registering to walk or by making a tax-deductible donation online at http://pages.lightthenight.org/nca/WashDC13/NatalieSalisbury

Thank you in advance for your support!
Natalie
