Emma turned 5 months old on June 9th. Chris and I have really noticed a change in her this month. She seems so much older. She is now sitting up on her own; she grabs and plays with her toys; she has discovered her feet and likes to stick them in her mouth...along with everything else. She is constantly grabbing those toes. She's very strong for her age. And her personality is really coming out. She's the sweetest little baby in the world.
She's also had a busy month. She went swimming for the first time; she tried solid foods; she was baptized; she flew to Florida to spend a week at the beach (her 4th round trip flight); she went to the zoo.
Chris and I started giving her solid foods this month. She has tried rice cereal, oatmeal and carrots, the last of which made her shudder with disgust. She loves to stick out her tongue. She can say mama (if she gets lucky).

The nanny, Meybory, started this week. Meybory is really great with Emma, and Emma has really taken to her. Leaving her every day to go to work is difficult, but at least I know Emma is in good hands.
No doctor appointment this month. I will report her stats after her 6 month well visit.
